Older People Atlas for England

This interactive mapping tool has been produced by WMPHO using Instant Atlas™ from Geowise and allows the user to view selected indicators relating to older people at local authority and regional level for the whole of England. The tool shows the selected indicators in map, chart and tabular formats. The information is provided for several different geographies including lower tier and single tier authorities.

The list of indicators is not exhaustive. More indicators will be added to the published list as soon as they become available.

A further view allowing several indicators for a single geography will shortly be added.

How to Use


  1. To choose an Indicator - Click on indicator menu on map and select from drop down menu
  2. To Choose a local authority – Click on map or on the table
  3. To Select local authorities for a particular Region – Click on Geography filter and select region
  4. To Zoom into the map – Click on zoom symbol on the left hand side of the map
