This annual report describes the delivery of structured drug treatment services to West Midlands residents in 2008/09 recorded on the National Drug Treatment Monitoring System (NDTMS). This report looks separately at adults and young people who have been treated for problem drug misuse and also those who have received structured treatment for misuse of alcohol. Structured treatment is defined as Tier 3 or 4 services and further details on treatment thresholds is published by the National Treatment Agency (NTA) as part of Models of Care (NTA, 2002; 2006).
