The West Midlands Breast Screening Quality Assurance Reference Centre (QARC) is situated within the West Midlands Cancer Intelligence Unit. A team of 13 people works to ensure that:
minimum standards for the NHS breast screening programme are maintained
performance of all aspects of breast screening are maintained and improved.
